Deep Stacks No. 23 - Morning Sky

An American music legend from his role as leader and bassist in the influential country-rock band The Byrds and the Flying Burrito Bros. to his extensive solo career, Chris Hillman has made dozen of masterful records for five decades. Our focus starts with "Morning Sky" on Sugar Hill from 1982 but extends through most of his dazzling star-studded career from numerous collaborations with Gram Parsons to his solo career with long-running bandmate Herb Pedersen, and even my personal experience meeting and performing with them alongside Peter Rowan at age twenty at The Wind Gap Folk Festival.
